I run small cooking classes for between 4 and 6 people in my renovated warehouse apartment in North Fitzoy in Melbourne. It feels more like a gathering of friends with a shared love of making italian food rather than a formal class. All classes are hands-on and we will be sharing the food we have prepared with a glass of matched italian or italian style wine (or italian mineral water if you prefer).
Cost per class: $90 per person, includes a take home recipe booklet
All classes run from 11 am to 2 pm

Sweets from northern Italy – crostoli and frittole – Saturday 10 October – My family is from the northeast corner of Italy, where food has distinctly Austrian influences. I learnt to make local delights crostoli and frittole from my mother Livia. The grandchildren always cooed with delight when nonna had prepared a batch of crostoli for a special occasion or was making frittole for them to eat almost straight from the pan. Learn how to make these delightful northern italian sweets using my mamma’s recipes. *SOLD OUT*
Pasta making and the mysterious artichoke – Saturday 14 November – Are you confused by the artichoke and what to do with this beautiful flower? I will be showing you how to trim, stuff and cook large artichokes as well as preparing smaller ones to eat with the fresh pasta that we will make. The class runs from 11 am to 2 pm. *2 SPOTS LEFT*
If there are fewer than 4 participants, classes will not be able to run and your money will be refunded. If you are unable to attend a class with up to 3 days notice, you can obtain a credit to attend a future class.
